2012 Safety Expo – Statewide Safety Training & Management Conference (Click here to register)
Education and training is a fundamental cornerstone to any successful organization, and yours is no different – particularly now during these periods of economic decline, where employers are consistently challenged to maintain existing training levels while coping with shrinking budgets. The Safety Expo sessions will help your company cut costs while preventing injuries on the shop floor, as well as the job site through synergistic training involving aspects of general and construction industries. The Expo is recognized for its commitment to safety, and the importance placed on developing people through training. Developing employees at all levels that are competent in safety (i.e., those that possess the knowledge, skills, and experience to perform safely consistently) is critical to any operation. The Expo, in its seventh year has earned a stellar reputation as a quality education program that is certified best value – you can’t get this quality training at this cost anywhere.

Design/Build Competition
This program is a great opportunity for the construction community to observe hundreds of high school students displaying their construction skills as they work together to complete their respective building projects. Students follow defined criteria provided by SRBX, where each team completes the challenge of designing and preparing construction documents for a 96-square-foot “shed” structure. Judging was conducted by a panel of building and construction professionals from the Sacramento area. Structures were judged on the students ability to perform all the functions of the project including planning and design; scheduling; overall project management and conduct; as well as craftsmanship and team work, and of course, safety.
